Eric founded Gerring Wealth Management to provide clients with high quality, customized financial planning and investment solutions at a low cost. Eric's unique background enables him to manage all facets of the client relationship. His extensive experience in economic and investment research supports his development and management of customized investment portfolios for clients. His background in investment communications and service also enables him to effectively discover and address the individual needs of his clients.
Eric uses individual stock and bond securities, not mutual funds, to build a unique and customized investment portfolio for each of his clients. Once the portfolio is developed, Eric will personally meet with his clients to discuss the performance of their investment portfolios and the progress toward reaching their goals.
Eric holds a variety of distinctions including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. The CFA charter is recognized globally as the designation of professional excellence within the investment community. The CFA designation is awarded to investment professionals who have successfully achieved demonstrated expertise in investment theory, portfolio management, statistics, economics and financial accounting. Ethics are also a critical part of holding the CFA designation, and Eric maintains a strong commitment to abide by the CFA Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.
Eric graduated from Drexel University's Bennett S. LeBow College of Business with a M.S. in Finance with a concentration in Investment Management. He also graduated magna cum laude from Dickinson College with a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Economics. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Eric has appeared on CNN and Money Matters TV. He has also been quoted in a variety of news publications including CFA Magazine, The Business Journal and MarketWatch. His research has also appeared in the Wall Street Journal.
In addition to his work with Gerring Wealth Management, Eric works as a professor teaching courses in Investments, Economics and Statistics. He has taught at a variety of institutions including West Chester University, Immaculata University, Delaware County Community College and Troy University. During his service at West Chester University, Eric was recognized with Outstanding Faculty Honors.
Eric is also a member of the West Whiteland Township Pension Board of Trustees and is the Chapter Relations Director for the Phi Beta Kappa Association of the Delaware Valley.
Prior to founding Gerring Wealth Management, Eric served as the Director of Investment Communications for SEI Investments, the largest institutional investment management firm in the world with over $100 billion in assets under management. Prior to SEI, Eric also served as an Economist for Moody's Economy.com and as an Research Associate for Economists Incorporated in Washington, DC.
